Grace’s Music Studio is currently offering private piano, clarinet, & harp lessons in Lawrence, KS. Lessons are taught at my in-home studio or virtually over zoom.
Private Music Lessons are adapted to meet your specific music goals and are designed to encourage musical exploration, creativity, and fun – with options to include exploration of other instruments during lessons, including: piano, harp, guitar, ukulele, autoharp, djembe, paddle drum, maracas, mbira, recorder, tone chimes, and more!
Learning an instrument is a complete brain workout!
Research has shown that learning a musical instrument can increase cognitive ability, improve learning, memory, fine motor skills, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and reaction times. It may be one of the best ways to keep the brain healthy by being a complete brain workout – engaging every major part of the central nervous system, both sides of the brain, the peripheral nervous system, and the brain’s executive function. Pair that with total sensory input – visual auditory, emotional, all at the same time.
Because of our emotional connection with music, music reaches parts of the brain that other things can’t. Plus, it’s fun!
