Billing
Tuition for private music lessons is $30 / 30-minute lesson, $120 per month. I use MyMusicStaff to send invoices and receipts and accept PayPal payments. After enrollment, I will send you a link to create your MyMusicStaff account. MyMusicStaff will email invoices on the first of the month for that month’s lessons and are due by the 8th. Tuition can be paid online through your student portal account (via paypal), or directly to your teacher (via venmo, cash, or check). The student is guaranteed 4 weekly 30-minute lessons per month. Lessons may “roll-over” into another month due to sick days, snow days, or holidays. “Roll-over” lessons but will be made up the following month.
Missed or Canceled Lessons
Your teacher will work with you to schedule make-up lessons for missed lessons cancelled by either the student or the teacher. Missed lessons may be made up in the months with 5 weeks, same day and time as your regularly scheduled lesson. For students who do not need to make up a lesson on the 5th week of the month, lessons will either be cancelled or given as usual to be used as a “credit” for any known future cancellations. In order to receive make-up lessons cancelled by the student, a minimum notice of 12 hours is required. Lessons cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled lesson forfeit any make-up lessons. Exceptions are made is if the student is sick or in the case of a snow day.
Scheduled Lesson Day/Time
I will update the lesson schedule at the beginning of the school year (August) and at the beginning of the summer (June). Students will be informed when the Student Portal calendar is open and they can sign-up for a weekly day/time. If unable to login, students can inform their teacher of their availability in order to secure a time slot.
Practice Requirements
Students are encouraged to practice at least 5 days per week. Length of daily practice varies depending on the age and level of the student.
Lesson Withdrawal or Extended Vacations
To withdraw from lessons, either temporarily or permanently, students must give a 30-day notice in writing. If not given 30-day notice, the student is obligated to pay the normal tuition fee for an additional month.
