Hi! I’m Grace, music teacher and board certified Music Therapist. In addition to solo work, I have performed with the St. Olaf Band, St. Olaf Philharmonia, University of Kansas Wind Ensemble, Harpers of the Prairie, Windsong Harp Ensemble, and the Lawrence City Band. After receiving bachelor’s degrees in Music and Psychology at St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN, I returned to Kansas where I received my Masters in Music Education, Music Therapy. For the last four years, I have been teaching piano and clarinet in Overland Park, KS. I just recently moved back to Lawrence to be closer to family.
Currently, I’m teaching private piano lessons, clarinet lessons, and harp lessons at my in-home studio or virtually via zoom. I absolutely love helping students discover their passion for making music and encouraging a lifelong love for musical exploration and expression. Throughout lessons, I am particularly focused in adapting our time to fit each specific student’s needs and goals.
In my free time I love spending time with my family and going on walks with my dog, Wishbone. He wishes he could take piano lessons.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I would love to hear from you!
